Brigham Ricks
Brigham focuses his practice on advising new businesses on the formation of corporations and other business structures, drafting contracts and counseling clients on business and real estate transactions. He serves as general counsel to many businesses and has substantial experience working with in-house counsel. In addition to his legal experience and training, Brigham brings real world experience to business clients. He has personally participated in the start-up and operation of companies and the development of real property for commercial and residential use.
In addition to his business practice, Brigham has participated in important and novel civil litigation cases and has argued before the California Superior Courts, Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court. Several of his cases have resulted in published opinions.
Service in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and having lived abroad in France and Belgium have further broadened Brigham’s horizons.
Brigham enjoys and engages in sports and other outdoor activities. He believes in service in the community and frequently works with children and teenagers. Brigham resides in Chapel Hill, NC with his wife and four children.
